Step 1:  Meet Hardware & System Requirements

Newforma Project Center System Requirements

The system requirements outline the minimum hardware and software requirements.
 
Order your hardware and install into your data center and/or remote locations. Customers using Virtual Machines should provision the necessary Virtual Servers.

Validate that the server and client workstation hardware meets specifications per the Newforma Project Center System Requirements:

For System Administrators, additional Technical Considerations are available to help configure your Network environment for Newforma Project Center.

Step 2: Perform Windows Server Configuration Steps

Prepare your Newforma Server(s) with the necessary pre-requisite roles, features and settings.

Install .NET 4.5 on all Newforma Servers

Download .NET 4.5 from Microsoft
.NET 4.5 must be installed on the Project Center and Info Exchange Server prior to configuring Windows Settings

Configure Windows Server on each Project Center Server

Step 3: Run the Pre-Deployment Verification Tool on All Newforma Servers

Download and Run the Newforma Server Pre-Deployment Verification Tool

Download the Eleventh Edition Newforma Server Pre-Deployment Verification Tool

For Newforma Project Center Servers:

  1. Log in as the Newforma Service Account created during Project Center Server Configuration.
  2. Unzip the entire contents of the "PreDeployment" folder to a single temporary folder on the local hard drive on the Server.
  3. Right Click predeployment.exe and select Run as Administrator.

For Newforma Info Exchange Server:

  1. Log In as an Administrator (Local, Domain or Project Center Service Account).
  2. Unzip the entire contents of the "PreDeployment" folder to a single temporary folder on the local hard drive on the Server. 
  3. Right Click predeployment.exe and select Run as Administrator.
The Pre-Deployment Verification Tool will prompt you for information about your environment relevant to your Newforma Project Center deployment.

Please see the Pre-Deployment Verification Troubleshooting Guide for instructions on how to use the Pre-Deployment Verification tool and troubleshoot errors that may occur.

The Pre-Deployment tool is designed to test for Newforma’s ability to be successfully deployed and is not an indicator of system performance in your environment. It is critical that all Pre-Deployment steps as outlined in the Configuration documentation are understood and completed prior to running the Pre-Deployment validation tool.

Step 4: Email Successful Pre-Deployment Reports to services@newforma.com

Once we have your successful Pre-Deployment Reports, our schedule coordinator will contact you to schedule your Deployment.
